Community ideas for improving transport in Cambridge are taking shape, following two workshops last week where elected members dug into ideas generated by the public.

The main topics of discussions were about:

• River crossings and parking management
• Public transport and walking, cycling and micromobility priorities.

River crossings

Elected members reviewed six community-suggested ideas for new river crossings, weighing up their pros and cons.

Other suggestions included increasing the capacity of existing bridges or building a new bridge in a different location. No decisions have been made yet! We still have plenty of work to do behind the scenes before a location is confirmed.
